What healthy grocery deals do I regularly shop for?
I just recently rediscovered @aldiusa in my neighborhood. When they opened a few years ago, I stopped by but I found that the selection at that time didn’t include the kind of healthy things I liked to buy.
Recently, I stopped in again and was amazed by what I found! So ALDI has become one of my few top local choices to do my weekly grocery shopping at reasonable prices.
Here are some of the GROCERY items that I regularly get there for great prices!
✅ organic produce: berries, lemons, apples, pears, avocados, lettuce, salad mixes, bell peppers, broccoli, potatoes, sweet potatoes (I try to get “dirty dozen” produce items organic as much as possible)
✅ non-organic produce: lemons, pineapple, onions, green beans, green onions, ginger
✅ organic cheese: sliced and shredded
✅ organic deli meat: turkey and ham variations
✅ organic beef hot dogs
✅ organic butter
✅ organic whole milk plain yogurt
✅ organic eggs
✅ organic frozen veggies: anything available
✅ organic boxed mac 'n' cheese: multiple options (I also like their gluten free types, although not organic...)
✅ gluten free dry pasta: multiple options. I especially love that they carry lentil lasagna sheets!!
✅ organic pasta sauce and salsa
✅ organic chips and crackers
And for the dogs:
✅ non-organic produce (yes, I have a budget but I also want to feed them as much raw food as possible): carrots, broccoli, sweet potatoes, apples, bananas, mushrooms, lettuce, berries
✅ grain free dried dog food
✅ grain free dog snacks
